The 2013 Peer-Led Team Learning International Society Second Annual Conference welcomes and invites papers (in English only) from all areas of practice
The conference aims to provide a platform for practitioners and researchers, including faculty, learning specialists, administrators, and peer leaders, and others, including teachers, from around the world to present their research results and development in their practice.
Original contributions on topics covered under broad areas but not limited to:
• Student performance in courses with and without workshops
• Development of materials for workshops
• Professional development for faculty
• Pilot projects
• Using PLTL in secondary education
• Evaluation and assessment designs
• Facilities for workshops
• Dissemination efforts
• Models for sustainability of campus programs
• Implementation structures
• Improvement cycles for campus programs
• Strategic planning and incorporation of PLTL
• Translating materials for new implementations
• Regional networks
• Cyber workshops
• Workshops in non-STEM disciplines
• Partnerships with learning centers
• Training tutors to be Peer Leaders
• Developing workplace skills through peer leadership

Presentation formats:
• The conference language is English
• Paper sessions will consist of three to four presentations in a 90-minute session. The session will be divided equally among the presentations. LCD projectors will be available.
• Workshop presentations will be given a full 90-minute session. LCD projectors will be available. Demonstrations and audience participation are encouraged.
• Posters will be presented at the Poster Presentation and Reception on Thursday evening, May 30th. Supplies provided include push-pins and boards. Posters will remain on display through lunch on Saturday, June 1st.
Proceedings
All accepted submissions for paper sessions, workshop presentations, and posters are expected to submit a paper to be included in the Conference Proceedings.
The Proceedings will be published online after the conference. Paper sessions, workshop presentations, and posters not presented will not be included in online Proceedings.
Guidelines for papers for the Proceedings will be provided with notification of acceptance by email to the first author.
